About us
We’re building Memooo to keep ideas and their context together. Start with a useful note, let the structure grow with your interests, and return to what matters to you.
Drop the question. Find the click.
Share a course Memo. Work through it together.
Share a course Memo. Ask, explain and compare in comments.
That lecture topic you’re still trying to untangle? Give it a Memo in Memooo. Add the example you’re stuck on, share it with classmates, and ask your question in the comments. Keep the material and the discussion in one place.
Share a topic. Ask a question. Work through the explanations.
- Share a topic
- Ask a question
- Talk it through
Conditional probability: why does knowing B change the chance of A?
Bring your brain. Borrow a perspective.
Same course topic. Different ways to explain it.
Share a course Memo. Ask, explain and compare in comments.
You have a worked example. Your classmate sees it another way. Put the topic and supporting material in a Memo, share it, and compare explanations in the comments. Memooo gives your study discussion a place beside the material.

Normal distributions: compare a diagram with a worked example.
From “I don’t get it” to “we get it.”
Share the material. Discuss what’s still unclear.
Share a course Memo. Ask, explain and compare in comments.
Sometimes you need a different explanation. In Memooo, keep a concept and its examples together, share the Memo with classmates, and use comments to discuss the parts that are still unclear. Add what you learn to your own explanation.
Keep the material and the discussion around it together.
- Explain the idea
- Share with classmates
- Discuss the gaps
Correlation and causation: discuss why one does not prove the other.
One good question. A whole conversation.
Give your study group a topic to talk through.
Share a course Memo. Ask, explain and compare in comments.
“Anyone understand this?” Start with one course question in Memooo. Add the relevant notes or example, share the Memo with classmates, and use comments to talk it through. A focused topic gives your study group something concrete to discuss.
One shared topic. Questions and explanations in the comments.

Learning how to learn
Turn what you read into something you can explain. Start with a question, express the idea in your own words, practise recalling it and check what needs more work.
Sub-Memos
Start with a question Explain the idea yourself Practise remembering Find the next gapStart with a question
Choose a question from a lesson, paper or meeting. Make it specific enough to answer, whether you are revising for an exam, exploring research or learning about a new industry.
Explain the idea yourself
Write the main idea in your own words and add a concrete example. Notice where your explanation becomes vague: that uncertainty can guide your next reading or conversation.
Practise remembering
Practising recall and spreading practice over time are supported learning strategies. Your notes provide material to practise with; organising them alone is not the practice. Try recalling an answer, then return to it on another day.
Sub-Memos
Recall before checking Return on another dayRecall before checking
Close your notes and explain what you remember. Then check your answer against the source and correct mistakes. Looking first would skip the attempt to retrieve the idea yourself.
Return on another day
Revisit the question on another day and try answering again before opening your notes. Use what you remember and miss to decide what needs further practice.
Find the next gap
Compare your answer with the material you studied. Mark one missing idea, unclear explanation or mistake, then choose how to investigate it. Keep the source in your working records so you can check again.

Organising my everyday life
Give plans, practical details and decisions a place outside your head. Focus on what matters now, separate reference information from actions and review your notes as the week changes.
Sub-Memos
Start with what is happening Name the next action Separate information from actions Review the coming weekStart with what is happening
Choose a current situation: an exam week, a move, a trip or balancing work with family life. Write the goal and the context you need before deciding what to do next.
Name the next action
Replace a vague task such as “sort out the trip” with a step you can take: “Compare two train routes.” Keep the relevant dates and questions with that step.
Separate information from actions
Keep reference details apart from things you intend to complete. A travel date is information; comparing departure times is an action. This distinction helps you see what still needs doing.
Review the coming week
Ask what is coming up, what you are waiting for and what you can finish, change or let go. Update the notes that matter this week; you do not need to catalogue your whole life.

Building my recipe collection
Keep dishes you want to cook again, together with the lessons from making them. Organise recipes in ways you recognise, and make the collection useful through your own experience rather than its size.
Sub-Memos
Record a dish clearly Keep your cooking notes Choose useful recipe groups Start with three favouritesRecord a dish clearly
Give each dish a clear name, then organise its ingredients, method and origin beneath it. Keep the quantities and instructions needed to cook it accurately, breaking longer material into complete, useful steps.
Sub-Memos
Keep quantities with ingredients Describe the cooking steps Keep track of the recipe’s originKeep quantities with ingredients
Record ingredients and quantities with the number of servings they make. If the list needs more space, group it by meaningful recipe components; keep each quantity beside its ingredient.
Describe the cooking steps
Record the method and equipment. Give longer steps their own sub-Memos, keeping essential conditions and quantities with the instruction they belong to. Do not shorten a recipe by dropping information needed to follow it.
Keep track of the recipe’s origin
Record who taught you the dish or where the recipe was published. Distinguish the original instructions from your own variations so you can tell which changes you tried.
Keep your cooking notes
After making a dish, note how long it took, which variation you tried and what you would change next time. Keep those observations with the dish so they are available when you cook it again.
Choose useful recipe groups
Group recipes by how you choose meals: quick weekday dinners, budget favourites, cooking for friends or using an ingredient you have. Use up to six groups at a time, with further detail underneath when needed.
Start with three favourites
Choose three dishes you already enjoy. Record one useful lesson from cooking each, then pick one to make this week. A small collection you use can be a useful starting point.
A new way to explore and remember
Understanding myself better
Explore your experiences without reducing yourself to a label. Describe what happened, consider why it mattered and choose what to try next. These reflections are not a personality test or diagnosis.
Sub-Memos
Describe the experience Separate observation from judgement Choose what to try next Revisit your reflectionsDescribe the experience
Choose a class discussion, conversation, project or decision. Record what happened and what you noticed, including what went well or felt difficult. Start with the experience before deciding what it means about you.
Separate observation from judgement
“I did not speak in that meeting” describes an observation. “I never have anything useful to say” is a broader judgement. Consider other explanations and other examples before drawing a conclusion about yourself.
Choose what to try next
Ask why the experience matters and what you would like to do differently next time. Choose one small action rather than trying to explain or change everything about yourself at once.
Revisit your reflections
Return to earlier notes and notice what changes. Look for repeated experiences as well as exceptions; one moment does not describe your whole personality. Keep questions open when the evidence is mixed.

Mapping my professional journey

Describe your contribution Keep appropriate evidence Look beyond paid work Reflect on one experienceMapping my professional journey
Describe your contribution
For an experience, record the challenge, your role, the actions you took and the outcome. Make your contribution clear within a team effort, and note what you learned from the result.
Mapping my professional journey
Keep appropriate evidence
Support an experience with a presentation, publication reference, project result or feedback where appropriate. Keep evidence only when you are entitled to retain it; leave out confidential material you cannot use.
Mapping my professional journey
Look beyond paid work
Include learning, volunteering and projects alongside employment. Record what you actually did and learned in each setting. Skills and experience can come from more than the positions listed in a CV.
Mapping my professional journey
Reflect on one experience
Choose an experience worth returning to. Record what you would repeat or change, and use the account when preparing an application, a review or another decision. Adapt the questions to your kind of work.

Describe the group’s task, your responsibilities and what you contributed. Record the outcome and one thing you would approach differently in the next project. Separate your actions from the team’s overall result.
A research project
Record the research question, your contribution, the findings and their limitations. Preserve the qualifications needed to interpret the result, and identify what you would investigate or change in further work.
A leadership decision
Record the decision, the assumptions behind it and the outcome you expected. When reviewing it, distinguish what you knew at the time from what you learned later.

Start with Athens 1896
The first modern Olympic Games took place in Athens in 1896. Use this as an entry to the modern Games, then compare it with the ancient tradition and later editions without treating them as identical.
Exploring the history of the Olympic Games
Choose an angle to explore
Follow an athlete’s story, a sport’s development, participation, host cities, technology or sport and politics. Begin with a question you want to investigate, rather than trying to cover the whole history at once.
Exploring the history of the Olympic Games
Compare two editions
Choose two editions of the Games. Ask what changed, what stayed familiar and whose perspective is missing from the accounts you found. Explain a difference using evidence rather than assuming its cause.
Exploring the history of the Olympic Games
Distinguish facts from interpretations
Keep the date, the question and the evidence behind a historical claim in your working records. Separate documented events from interpretations of their significance. Check the evidence before repeating a claim.

From a course to a question
A Memo called “My next course” can contain modules, and each module can contain questions. Keep a short explanation at every level so you can understand the course, module or question independently.
Break a subject into smaller parts
Read a branch or its details
Open a branch to browse its children. On a narrow screen, choose Open Memo to read the branch itself. A Memo with no children opens directly; a split workspace can show the branch and its content together.

Keep details with their topic
Give each detail one clear home beneath the topic it explains. A question about a course module belongs beneath that module, with enough context to understand the question when you return.

Sub-Memos
Protect the export passphrase Store the copy carefully Check that the copy opensProtect the export passphrase
The export passphrase is a password you choose to protect the encrypted file. You need it to open the copy. Memooo cannot recover that passphrase if you lose it.
Store the copy carefully
Put the exported file somewhere you can find again. Keep its passphrase safely and separately from the file, so the two are not stored together.
Check that the copy opens
Before relying on an exported copy, check in the app that you can import it and read its contents. This public demo explains the process; it does not access your files.

Sub-Memos

You do not need a complete system before writing. Give one idea a title you will recognise and explain why it matters. Let smaller Memos grow beneath it as you find details worth keeping.
Sub-Memos
Give a course a purposeGive a course a purpose
For a Memo called “My next course”, explain why you want to take it and what you hope to understand. Use the title to identify the course and the description to preserve its purpose.
Add the details that matter
Keep the explanation in the description. Add a date, place, type or attachment when it serves the idea, and use a checklist for actions. Put longer explanations in sub-Memos rather than hiding them in other fields.
Sub-Memos
Use a checklist for actions Keep useful material alongsideUse a checklist for actions
For a course, a checklist might contain “Choose a course”, “Collect the reading” and “Write my first question”. Use it for steps to complete, while explanations and questions keep their own descriptions.
Keep useful material alongside
A course outline can sit alongside your notes as a file in the app. Add material when it provides useful context, without using attachments as a substitute for clear descriptions or sub-Memos.

Memory data includes encrypted Memo, comment, attachment, relationship, search-index, history, export and sharing payloads, plus limited operational metadata needed to store, route, count, synchronise and delete them.
Payment data
For web subscriptions, Memooo handles Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan and capacity state, invoice events and tax-related records. Memooo does not store complete payment-card details.

Providing the service
Memooo processes data to create and secure your account, deliver encrypted cloud storage and synchronisation, enable sharing and reminders, provide support, and operate subscriptions.

Protection and reliability
Memooo also processes data to prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and improve reliability. Legitimate interests concern protecting and operating the service; consent or a specific request applies where required.
Advertising and analytics
Memooo has no behavioural advertising and does not sell personal data. The initial release does not use non-essential analytics cookies.
Encryption and AI
Memo content is encrypted on an approved device before storage. Operational metadata is not all end-to-end encrypted. An AI action you explicitly choose sends selected readable content to the provider shown in the interface.
Sub-Memos
Encrypted content What the service can process When you choose AIEncrypted content
Your device encrypts Memo content before storage. Managed recovery services can unwrap protected vault keys after identity and device checks. Memooo is not a zero-knowledge service where only you can ever recover keys.
What the service can process
Account, billing, delivery, sharing-routing, security and limited structural metadata are not all end-to-end encrypted because the service must process them to operate.
When you choose AI
AI is hidden or shown as an inactive preview in the web MVP. A future enabled workflow must identify the selected content and provider before you send readable content outside your vault.
Providers and locations
Memooo uses providers for infrastructure, web delivery, payments, email and optional AI. Encrypted customer content is stored in European regions; other processing may take place in the United States or elsewhere under applicable safeguards.
Sub-Memos
Infrastructure and web delivery Payments and email Optional AI providers Where processing happensInfrastructure and web delivery
Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database, storage, Functions, security and operational logging. Vercel delivers the web application.
Payments and email
Stripe and Link handle web payments and transaction records. For purchases sold through Link using Managed Payments, Link provides transaction support. Memooo remains responsible for the product and vault. MailerSend delivers transactional email.
Optional AI providers
AI is not active in the web MVP. OpenAI or Anthropic would receive selected plaintext only if a corresponding workflow is enabled and you explicitly use it.

Authentication, edge delivery, payment, email, support, security and optional AI providers may process limited data in the United States or other countries under their applicable safeguards. The published Data and providers document lists their functions.
Retention and deletion
Account and service records are retained while your account is active and as needed for service, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Verified deletion removes the covered account data; specific records may remain for legal or security reasons.
Sub-Memos
Why records are retained Verified account deletion Records that may remain Logs and provider backupsWhy records are retained
Memooo retains account and service records as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet tax, accounting, security and legal obligations.
Verified account deletion
Verified deletion removes your account and owned vault data covered by that process. Contributions you added to another person's shared Memo belong to that owner's vault and may remain after your account is deleted, with identifying attribution removed where supported. Recipients can retain copies they already downloaded.
Records that may remain
Some billing, fraud-prevention, legal or immutable provider records may be retained where law or a compelling security obligation requires it.
Logs and provider backups
Operational logs and provider backups follow documented lifecycle periods and may age out after primary deletion.

You are responsible for accurate account details, securing your email and approved devices, reviewing sharing scopes, maintaining suitable exports and promptly revoking access you no longer trust.
Acceptable use
Do not use Memooo to violate privacy, intellectual-property, export-control, sanctions or other applicable laws; distribute malware; abuse another person; or interfere with the service.
Availability
Memooo aims to operate carefully, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
